Resources for people who drive for a living…

This is another thing that when I read it, I thought it was an April Fool joke.

A Tesco delivery driver has issed proceedings againt a long standing Tesco customer,  after twisting their ankle on their driveway, allegedly.

Why is the driver not taking Tesco to task for this? Did he report the accident? put it in the accident book? visit the Doctor? Do all three? Where does this leave the customer who books home delivery? As a company, we have public liability insurance. Does that now mean we need it as homeowners?

It might be some people already have it in their home insurance policies, but where does it leave the average household?

I feel sorry for the drive in question, to injure yourself on duty is horrible, and a twisted ankle may make it difficult to drive, may involve a day of rest on the ankle, but what exactly is he suing for? He said he was OK at the time, he has now found an ambulance chasing lawyer who thinks this will make him a quick few bucks.

If I were Tesco, I would sue the driver for all the lost revenue now people no longer require home delivery.

What are your thoughts on the subject?
