100 trucks and lorries are expected to take part in the “go slow” on the M6 today, causing traffic chaos and potential gridlocks everywhere.

The protest will start at 9am in Lymm truck stop in Cheshire, with the lorries traveling in convey northbound up the M6 at 40mph.

When they reach junction 35 at Carnforth, Lancashire, they will turn back and travel back down the M6 southbound, to complete the 120 mile trip.

The police are advising people to only travel on this stretch of road if they need to, as traffic will be heavy. All the the protest is expected to finish at 3pm, the backlog of traffic will take some time to clear.
