Get Animal Parcels Ltd Banned!

Please RT, this is a slap in the face regarding animal liberties.

Animal Welfare activists are lobbying parliament to shut down a business that sends live animals through the post using specialised packaging and normal parcel services.   Animal Parcels Ltd had recently launched its UK website, and protesters are keen to get the website taken down as soon as possible.

“This company posts animals in boxes!” says Penny Walters, a member of Petworth Animal Welfare Society.  “Animals are stuffed in small, inhumane, insanitary boxes, and then sent through the normal parcel systems the same as a parcel of books bought off Amazon”

“Animal Parcels Ltd is owned by a Lebanese company who have tried this before, we successfully lobbyed in the US and got their American website taken down after only a few days.” said a representative from the US Federation of Animal Relocaters and Transporters, “Pet couriers are expensive, and breeders are always looking to save money, but this is not the way.  I hope that the UK legislation governing the protection of animals in transit is as tough as that in America.”

“The transportation of animals is a very serious business and animal welfare must always be the number one priority, not cost cutting.  Companies such as this bring our whole industry into disrepute and need to be stamped on quickly”

Well, I have read the press release and I am outraged, I mean really outraged. How dare these people think they can come to the UK and set up this site http://www.animal-parcels.co.uk/ and ship our pets all over the place, this is totally disgusting. Don’t they know we Brits value our pets more than ourselves?

Protest please, help spread the word about this outlandish practice and help get it stopped – NOW
